Katie Trainor (Selznick 2000) has a long history with home movies and amateur filmmaking. A co-founder of both Home Movie Day and the Center for Home Movies, she has advocated for more visibility and study of what is arguably the primary resource for understanding society in the 20th Century. Now, as Collections Manager at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, she and her colleagues have mounted an incredible exhibition of these works. Here, Katie talks about her history with the form, the exhibition, and the study of home movies and points to online resources that continue access to these films.
