The most common ones to watch out for would be extremely lean and low BMI situations, stage IV cancers, and diseases of the blood, heart, liver, and kidneys. Think about it. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that in a practice that encourages the blood to get thicker, as well as have detoxification skyrocket, you need functioning detox organs. If you already have some blood diseases that would get even more dangerous if the blood thickened, especially heart diseases, then it’s a no-brainer. I say this, but I am well aware that many people come to dry fasting out of desperation. And in this desperation, you say things like: “If I can’t dry fast, there’s nothing else that will help me”. You hear about all the benefits and you’re ready to take the risks. I can’t stop you, I can only advise you. Water fasting may not be as strong, but it can definitely be a safer option. You can check out many papers on the benefits of fasting for cancer, but these are mainly for water fasts. If you’re dead set on dry, then you have to take it as slow as possible and continuously monitor yourself. Ideally, you would have medical monitoring during and after to really quantify the effects and know when to stop. Grinding away with tiny dry fasts is always an option, and I’d be lying if it isn’t something I would try myself in those situations. But, there are many anecdotal reports that if your disease is extremely late stage, like with many cancers, then the stress and burden of a dry fast is too much for your already frail body to handle. This is an unfortunate truth. This can apply to many late-stage diseases or very severe cases, and for these, the best you can do is to try to chip away at it with milder fasts first. In some diseases, you may be symptomatic, for example with heart issues, but if every medical test shows you that you are fine, dry fasting may be exactly what you need. In these scenarios, you’re most likely dealing with neurological and nervous system-related issues. In this case, You can push yourself a little more. Just remember, this is not a race. Your damage did not happen over the course of a few weeks. Stop thinking that you can fix it with one or two fasts.
