Drowned Daytime Pathfinding does not work reliably as it does at night. If you are using a river biome drowned farm where they drop down from signs that hold back the water and they land on dry land/glass or another block, they will not reliably path find to turtle eggs during the daytime. If you have experienced this, I refer to this as a bug, it is as intended as they normally ignore players/not leave the water during the daytime. A trident wielding drowned may still use their range attack, but drowned mobs will not leave the water to go after you, turtle eggs or villagers as they would during the night time. For that reason, using a drowned farm with turtle eggs to lure them from up to 47 blocks away will only reliably work at night. Using water streams will bring them to your kill chamber at any time of the day. I hope this clears up any confusion as to why you may feel that your drowned farm may not be working correctly with turtle eggs.
