For a classic and elegant, forest green combination, try working together DROPS Alpaca 9032, dark ivy and DROPS Kid-Silk 19, dark green. Our crochet sample uses a 4 mm crochet hook, which is a perfect fit for patterns in the crochet hook group 4.00 - 4.50 mm.
Remember however that knitting/crochet tension varies from person to person and that the suggested needle/hook size is only a guide. You can adjust the size to get a different tension - or match the tension recommended in the pattern you are working with. Just make a swatch!
