DJI Care Refresh is a great way to replace your drone if disaster strikes, but you don't always need to pay the excess to get that fast replacement. Today I go through what happened to one of my subscribers who watched his DJI Mini 4 Pro crash out of control and fall into a lake. Initially faced with the prospect of a £219 excess for a replacement through DJI Care Refresh, we extracted his flight logs, analysed them with AirData.com and managed to show DJI that it was not pilot error but was actually a drone malfunction. And sure enough, being under warranty, they agreed to send out a free replacrement without having to pay any excess or use up one of his DJI Care Refresh replacements. A great result!
