The Drok 2S41 82 mm self-propelled mortar embodies to the full extent the already existing concept of creating a self-propelled mortar on a serial chassis. The Drok is armed with two 82 mm mortars, one is breech-loaded integrated in the roof, the other is spare mortar to be used in the field by the dismounts. The Typhoon-VDV vehicle with a 7.62 mm MG remote-controlled weapon station and enhanced hull armouring ensures high level of protection of the crew and great mobility and cross-country capabilities of the system.
