Driving to the very famous monastery of Agia Lavra (Holy Lavra), near Kalavryta. The monastery is linked with the Greek War of Independence. It was the place were the revolution against the Ottoman Empire was launched on 25 March 1821 by Bishop Germanos of Patras.

Before reaching Agia Lavra the car also passes by the Memorial of National Regeneration for the Greek Independence from Ottoman Empire which is located on a mountain top near the monastery.
