This is a remake of my three part Cabot Trail videos made in summer 2009.
The Cabot Trail is known as Trunk 30 by the Transportation Ministry. It is the only Nova Scotian trunk road that doesn't make use of a shield with its signage, instead it is signed with a picture of a mountain.
This is not the entire Cabot Trail. This video is only about 50km of it, heading eastward from a few minutes north of Chéticamp. The drive is almost entirely inside the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, except when passing through the town of Pleasant Bay.
The music is the final movement (Allegro) of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
