Come along for a rainy nighttime road trip south through Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia!
On this drive, I make an unplanned stop in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The rain was coming down hard, so this wasn’t quite the Gettysburg exploration I originally had in mind — but I still managed to get out for a quick look around Lincoln Square.
We’ll see the historic David Wills House, where Abraham Lincoln stayed before delivering the Gettysburg Address, along with the Lincoln statue in the square and a glimpse of downtown Gettysburg on a dark and rainy night.
Then it’s back on the road as we continue south, cross into Maryland, and eventually make our way into Virginia through the rain and darkness.
Sometimes a road trip doesn’t go according to plan — and that’s part of the adventure!
