The Sardar Patel Ring Road is 76 km long ring road encircling the city of Ahmedabad. It is a toll road built by the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). Built at a cost of ₹ 355 crore, it was opened in 2004.

Ahmedabad also known as Amdavad is the largest city and former capital of Gujarat state in India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Ahmedabad district and the seat of the Gujarat High Court.
Ahmedabad's population of 5,633,927 makes it the fifth most populous city in India, and the encompassing urban agglomeration population estimated at 7,650,000 is the seventh most populous in India.
Ahmedabad is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, 30 km (19 mi) from the state capital Gandhinagar, which is its twin city.
