Driving from Playa del Rey to Downtown Los Angeles- 4K

This 4K UHD video takes you from the LAX airport area, called Playa del Rey to Downtown Los Angeles along the residential streets.

This driving tour crosses the distinctive Los Angeles neighborhoods, like Mar Vista and Culver City

The drive begins on the scenic road, called Vista Del Mar by Dockweiler State Beach and ends on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Playa del Rey (Spanish for "the King's beach") is a neighborhood in the South Bay region of the City of Los Angeles, California. 

Playa del Rey is a coastal neighborhood and a district of the city of Los Angeles.

It is peripherally located, south and west of the heart of Silicon Beach

The neighborhood has its own street grid.
The community is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, Marina del Rey and Ballona Creek  to the north, Ballona Wetlands and Playa Vista to the northeast, Westchester to the east, and Los Angeles International Airport and El Segundo to the south.


Mar Vista is a neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles, California. In 1927, Mar Vista became the 70th community to be annexed to Los Angeles




Culver City is a city in Los Angeles County, California. As of 2019, the estimated population was 39,185.

The city was named after its founder, Harry Culver
Since the 1920s, Culver City has been a center for motion picture and later television production, best known as the home of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios.

From 1932 to 1986, it was the headquarters for the Hughes Aircraft Company.

 National Public Radio West and Sony Pictures Entertainment have headquarters in the city. The NFL Network studio is also located in Culver City.


Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) is the central business district of Los Angeles, California, as well as a diverse residential neighborhood of some 85,000 people, and covers 5.84 sq mi
Downtown Los Angeles is divided into neighborhoods and districts, some overlapping.

Most districts are named for the activities concentrated there now or historically, e.g. the Arts, Civic Center, Fashion, Banking, Theater, Toy, and Jewelry districts. It is the hub for the city's urban rail transit system plus the Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink commuter rail system for Southern California.


Banks, department stores, and movie palaces at one time drew residents and visitors of all socioeconomic classes downtown, but the area declined economically especially after the 1950s.

It remained an important center—in the Civic Center, of government business; on Bunker Hill, of banking, and along Broadway, of retail and entertainment for Hispanic Angelenos, especially immigrants.

Now Downtown has been experiencing a renaissance that started in the early 2000s. The Staples Center anchors downtown's south end, and along Broadway, pre-war buildings are being restored for new uses, such as a luxury condos, co-working spaces, and high-end retail.
