The Albright Institute for Global Affairs was honored to welcome Sara Minkara ’11 to present the Albright 2026 Wintersession keynote.
Sara Minkara is a former Ambassador-level U.S. diplomat and global strategist who advises Fortune 500 executives and senior government leaders on disability, authentic leadership, and reimagining the future. Appointed by President Biden as the U.S. Special Advisor on International Disability Rights, she integrated disability across U.S. foreign policy in more than 70 countries and created the Disability Foreign Policy Playbook, a unified framework for embedding disability within foreign policy priorities across bureaus, embassies, and senior leadership. Through her independent advisory practice, she guides public- and private-sector leaders on embedding disability within strategy, risk, operations, and emerging domains.
In an era marked by deepening geopolitical divisions, shifting global alliances, and rising social, economic, and environmental challenges, the question of what leadership should look like has never been more important. This keynote presentation is part of the Albright Institute programming for this year centered on the theme, "Leadership in a Fragmented World," examining how leadership rooted in empathy, evidence, and action can help us solve our pressing global challenges.
