Every fancied trying your hand at driving a steam loco? We’ve got you covered with our exciting ‘How do Steam Engines work?’ workshop at Boston Lodge.
During these workshops, you will discover the procedures used to get a Steam Train up and running, from lighting the fire right through to all the controls used to manage the locomotive itself!
You will also get a chance to work with an experienced driver and operate the controls to move the locomotive yourself (and if you’re lucky, a chance to sound the whistle!).
