DRIFT is an international artist duo from Amsterdam, formed by Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn. Together, they have been choreographing the future since 2007. With their experiential sculptures, installations and performances the duo illuminates parallels between man-made and natural structures through deconstructive, interactive and innovative processes. DRIFT raises fundamental questions about what life is and explores a positive scenario for the future.

Electrifying Design: A Century of Lighting features DRIFT’s “Flylight” (2015), which comprises LEDs in glass tubes suspended from the ceiling. The tubes light up unpredictably in response to movement in the space, mimicking the behavior of a flock of birds.
