Gianluca was born in Naples on November 23, 1987 and lives in Paris.
He studied with Dario Lapenna, Fabio Zeppetella, Umberto Fiorentino at "Saint Louis" in Rome, graduating from the Professional course with honours.
Participates in various "New Jazz Talents" competitions including: "Eddie Lang", presided over by Jim Hall, ranking second; "Chicco Bettinardi" winning the third place; "Vittoria Jazz Award" and wins first place at the "Jazz Club Bergamo" as best talent.
In 2011 he released his first album It's Strictly Forbiddenn, produced by the Jazz Collection label. He presents it with his quintet together with trumpet player Flavio Boltro at the "Auditorium Parco Della Musica."
Also in that year he plays with his quintet concert activity playing in major Italian festivals.
In 2013 he released his second album Yellow produced by the label Philology records presented at the Monk Club in Rome.
In 2014 he recorded a live record produced by A-Beat Records recorded at the Gregory's Jazz Club with the quintet of the trumpeter Giovanni Amato.
In 2015 he was called by the artistic direction of the Monk Club of Rome for the JazzEvidence festival playing with various Italian jazz artists including: Enrico Pieranunzi, Roberto Gatto, Rosario Giuliani, Flavio Boltro, Giovanni Amato.
in 2019 he moved to Paris where he began to collaborate with various French Jazz musicians including: Alain Jean-marie, Vincent Brogeyx, Rob Clearfield, Guillaume Naud, Karim Blal, Oscar Marchioni, Nicholas Thomas, Fabien Mary, Dmitry Baevsky, Matt Chalk, Luigi Grasso, Jeanne Michard, Darryl Hall, Gilles Naturel, Yoni Zelnik, Philippe Heart, Luca Fattorini, Alex Gilson, Francesco Ciniglio, Philippe Soirat, Lionel Boccara, Roman Sarron, Paul Morvan.
