Some time ago (longer than I'd like to admit), I transcribed and 8-bitified Metropolis. But I didn't upload it because I needed to transform the artwork, and Images and Words has a doozy of a cover to it. Once I had finally done that, I realised that it would be a bit silly to go through all that effort just for one song... So, just as I did with Haken's Fauna, you'll be seeing every single song from Images and Words released in 8-bit form over the next few days, one per day.
I hope you enjoy! I certainly did... I'll be trying to drop into the premieres each day, but I do have a small child so I won't commit to a promise!
---
I adhered to the NES limit of 4 maximum simultaneous sounds (technically it's 5, but I use two combined for the kick drum as did most NES composers), which means that in order to accurately represent the chords, I had to arpeggiate some parts and harmonise with the bass in others.
