Race has always been a weird gulf to traverse since I was a child. Where do I fit in? Who is my tribe? Do I fit in more back in London? Cape Town? My family moving to Miami only confused any attempt to draw traditional lines further. The advantage of having a multicultural background is that at the end of the day I never want it to be US vs THEM because I’d find family on both sides of a line drawn in the sand. I AM A HUMAN BEING. Earth is my home.
