This is sort of a rant/ tutorial at the same time. I just wanted to talk a little bit about what you think about when drawing animals. Pay attention to the different animal anatomy - where are the joins? what are the proportions of the bones.
animating animals in 2D requires a pretty solid understanding of how Dog anatomy, or horse anatomy, differs from human anatomy.
So hopefully something in here helps you learn something- or at least gets you thinking ^_^
