In today’s cardmaking tutorial, I’m sharing how I created a spring iris hello card as part of my Draw Four Create a Card Challenge using my Creative Card Deck. This handmade card focuses on stamping techniques like masking, ink blending, and spotlight coloring to create a clean and eye-catching design without adding embellishments.
In this video, I walk through how I use masking with a floral wood block stamp, blend seasonal colors with Distress Oxide Ink, and enhance the focal point using Copic Marker coloring for a spotlight effect. I’ll also share how the 20-minute bonus challenge and a “no embellishments” design rule can actually make the creative process simpler while still producing a polished card.
