Something a little bit different this time - how to drape a basic Victorian bodice on a dummy, material recorded to help folks working with our book, The Victorian Dressmaker,

I found this technique useful for when you have no ready made pattern, when you have nobody to help you with fittings or when you want to experiment with new seam position and new shapes.
It gives a good starting point - you fine tune the pattern as you assemble the mock up and fit it on yourself/client.
It is also priceless, if, like me, you are reluctant to work with numbers and employ maths to draft bodice to a set of measurements alone......

This is our longest video too - I was reluctant to cut things us and speed it up too much in case somethign vital is omitted - so yes, it might be a bit dull, but at least shows the technique in detail.

And yes, Ican speak too - but if my mumblings are a bit too inaudible, there is some text too, taking you through the steps and showing the process.

Hope you'll find it useful - enjoy!
