Dynamic Range is often increased by shooting RAW or LOG but file sizes are much bigger, there is lots of post work needed and you usually can't see exactly what you're going to get in your camera while shooting. Here is a great way to boost your shadows instantly and get brighter shadows with more shadow detail right away in your camera. What you see is what you get. No RAW, no LOG, no Post work! This works especially well if you use Lumix cameras. The two methods to achieve this is using idynamic and highlight Shadow feature in the lumix camera menu. This video demonstrates the differences with real worlds video samples.
