Modustrial Maker | Dramatic Stair Makeover with Animated LEDs ... Surprisingly Easy @modustrial | Uploaded 9 months ago | Updated 5 hours ago
In this abandoned building renovation episode, we do a stair makeover, with motion activated LED lighting. Use code MODUSTRIAL50 to get 50% OFF your first Factor box at bit.ly/47kelxr
For this easy DIY staircase makeover, I show how to install maple hardwood stair treads, and how I make my own stair risers out of plywood. The star of the show is the LED under-tread lighting that is motion activated. For the LED stair lights, I installed motion sensors at the top and bottom of the staircase. I then routed channels under the nose of each stair tread, where I installed COB led strips, which are wired to and LED stair controller installed under the stairs. This is an easy DIY project that anyone can do, and makes a dramatic difference in the appearance of your stairs.
