For most of the last fifteen years, Drake has been operating in a climate that was basically below freezing all the time. Everything around his career helped keep it that way. But here’s the thing about ice. Ice doesn’t exist just because somebody says they’re the coldest to ever do it. Ice exists because the environment around it allows it to stay frozen.
Change the conditions and the ice starts disappearing, no matter how massive the glacier used to be.
And that’s why the issue Drake is dealing with right now isn’t really a marketing problem, or a rollout problem, or even a music problem.
Drake has a climate problem. And like a lot of climate deniers, he might have realized it too late.
