A really solid run overall!
After using some strats from yurisalgadin and then applying different optimizations from the TAS of this game and adding in some of my own strats I am really happy to put that all together into one complete run :D
This game is surprisingly enjoyable to speedrun. One thing that makes it interesting is that you keep your HP from level to level and damage boosts allow you to often skip a lot of a level and go fast. So there's this interesting routing that goes on in figuring out where you want to take hits and sometimes you even want to die just to get 3 HP back so you can damage boost more.
Another great thing about the game is that it's not a very long run and when you need to reset to start a new run you get right back into the action very quickly. There's not a ton of RNG in the run but there is enough to keep it interesting as well!
Overall, as crazy as it feels to say this, I actually would recommend anyone interested to give speedrunning this game a go! -- Watch live at twitch.tv/grondious
