Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Post Game | Part 1: Heading into the Fungeon
Dragon Quest VI has been beaten. So what now? Well we're not finished yet. Welcome to the Post Game of Dragon Quest VI.
Something to note is that unlike DQ4 and DQ5, this one isn't going to be a long one. Why? Because some characters are completely locked out because the Wi-Fi for the Nintendo DS/Wii is dead. So I've decided to try something very different. It's not the best or wisest decision but it has to be done.
So anyway, with the game beat, we can now access a new dungeon. Before that though, remember that scene with Terry in the credits? It seems that there's an item we can get our hands on. We head there and acquire the Liquid Metal Mind. This allows one of your party members to become a Liquid Metal class. Sure it starts off bad but once it's mastered, it becomes a very powerful class to have.
Not only that but we also explore a special dungeon that's below Alltrades Abbey, the Fungeon. The Fungeon is a post game dungeon that is home to some very powerful moments and items. There's also a place in-between known as Reaper's Peak. Reaper's Peak can also double as an easter egg of sorts as characters from Dragon Quest IV or V can appear as NPCs. I choose IV because you can tell it's obvious. Yep.
But you're probably wondering? What's at the bottom there? Well do you remember Castle Graceskull? Remember how the king wanted to control a powerful demon? And he paid the price honestly. So yeah, this is where Nokturnus resides and we can face him if we want.
But we aren't doing that... yet. If you wonder about my plans, it's going to need some grinding. A lot of grinding. How much you ask? A lot. Seriously. Trust me. It's going to be rough. Just bear with me on this. That's all I ask.
I'll see you in Part 2 for where we head to Chateau de Sass and take part in the Best Dressed contest.
