Tortured Soul is one of the easiest bosses in this game, especially if you raise Jessica to Level 12, put all her points into Whips and use Twin Dragon Lash with 50 Tension. Don't worry about the minions he summons, just focus on him with Hero's Sword/Boomerang and Yangus' Axe abilites. Have Yangus and Jessica with healing Herbs in case you drop below 30 HP.
I also have the Alchemy Pot now, so I made a Snakeskin Whip (Leather Whip + Scale Shield) and Bunny Ears (Hairband + Bunny Tail) to boost Jessica's Attack and Defense. If you have any Seeds of Life, be sure to give them to Jessica for the extra 3-4 HP. She is extremely vulnerable and prone to dying very early on.
