I was asked to do a full run of Dragon is Dead so I finally made time to do so with my current character (that I haven't touched since I practiced hitless bosses). The gear I had combined with the upgraded potions pretty much carried me as letting two weeks go by with no practice shows, especially on Morr (and my insistence on being dumb and accidentally using potions when near full health).
Nightmare is available after clearing normal mode but the boost to damage means you can easily be 1-2 shot by enemies or bosses, so I'm waiting until that gets better balanced to try.
While dying or completing a run resets your level and loses all gold you can use the other currency to buy gear in town, upgrade potions, change out bonuses on gear, and buy an elixir for your next run.
