Brought together by the love of music, Nanyang Philharmonic Chinese Orchestra (NYPhilCO) was established in July 2013 and registered as a non-profit in February 2016 with 65 founding musicians. Many of these musicians played vital roles in Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra's (NYPCO) remarkable journey and contributed to its achievements through their participation at numerous competitions and music festivals.

Despite juggling heavy commitments from work, school and national service, NY.Phil's members regularly commit time and effort to serve as mentors to nurture young and upcoming musicians in NYPCO. Together, they hope to embark on an enriching musical journey and advocate the appreciation of Chinese orchestral music.
