Dragon Age Veilguard requires you to solve companions personal issues to progress forward. While it's not uncommon in RPGs, the tone and writing of Dragon Age the Veilguard makes it really feel like some kind of group therapy sessions or HR team building. As if the writers are venting their own problems throuugh characters. The results are very unnatural and forced cutscenes and dialogues.
