Nothing but love for everyone and my apologies for answering Ortlund's question incorrectly. I immediately issued a retraction and Dr. Ortlund acknowledged it but yet years later he makes claims that I affirm Lewis or Tolkien are in Hell, which I cannot--even if I affirm the traditional doctrine of the Church pertaining to salvation.
I have multiple times spoken on this issue on this nuance, three videos on the topic have over 30,000 views. But, I am dishonestly represented in order to score points for his apologetics career. Sadly, he is not scoring points with God. I would not speak this strongly if I did not know for a fact that he knows better.
Behind the scenes I have been cordial with Dr. Ortlund and even put him into contact with Dr. Schmidt on the historicity of Jesus in Josephus, because I felt he had a very good platform to promote the research. I asked for nothing.
