Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called us to “march on ballot boxes” because he understood that the vote is essential to securing food, jobs, dignity, education, and justice. When voting rights are weakened, every one of those aspirations is put at risk.

Restoring the full protections of the Voting Rights Act is critical to safeguarding democracy and ensuring that every eligible voter can participate freely and without intimidation. Protecting the vote is not optional. It is central to creating a just and inclusive society.
