Dr. Razminia has been working in the field of cardiac electrophysiology since 2003. In July 2010, he performed his first entirely fluoroless catheter ablation. Over the past six years, he has since developed and refined this technique and has performed over 1,000 consecutive fluoroless catheter ablations, and has served as a mentor to many of his peers globally. He has disseminated his views on the potential of the fluoroless technique for enhanced safety by authoring several publications and delivering seminars on this topic locally, nationally, and internationally.
As director of the cardiac EP lab, he has brought this state-of-the-art procedure to AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Elgin, making it the only hospital in the nation that performs catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias in an entirely radiation-free environment.
