Palliative Care Physician Hunter Groninger, MD, is the recipient of the 2024 Dr. Richard Payne Leadership Award from the Cunniff-Dixon Foundation and the @hastingscenter for his exemplary care provided to patients nearing the end of life. For the last 20 years, Dr. Groninger has provided holistic palliative care to patients living with serious illness. Active in clinical education, Dr. Groninger founded the Palliative Medicine Fellowship program and participates in research projects—currently focusing on novel symptom management strategies, innovative palliative care delivery models, and health disparities.
