About the speaker
Courtney Soderberg is the Statistician and Data Scientist at the Center for Open Science. Before working at COS, she received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of California, Davis.
About the talk
Open research practices around data, materials, code, and articles are becoming more common in many fields, but researchers often aren’t trained in how to best make their research open, or what they need to consider when doing this. Using OSF as an example tool, I will walk through efficient ways for researchers to make their work more open and reproducible. I’ll also discuss what can be done when there are ethical or legal reasons why some data/materials cannot be openly shared.
