Carlie Austin graduated with her Ph.D. from the College of Nursing, along with a bridge graduate certificate in public health from the School of Medicine. Austin is a visionary leader, nurse scholar and health policy advocate whose work bridges clinical practice, research and systems-level transformation in maternal and infant health. She currently serves as strategic planning director at the Detroit Medical Center and has led strategic partnerships and advocacy efforts at Redeem Detroit, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to advancing nursing practice and health care equity.
