Dr Bret Scher graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in biology in 1994 and then Ohio State University Medical School with a M.D. in 1998. He is a board certified cardiologist from San Diego who also works with clients as an online health coach at LowCarbCardiologist.com. He completed a preventive cardiology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego and has been in practice for over 15 years helping people reverse and prevent heart disease.

Dr. Scher also has a passion for spreading the message of prioritising health and has run the Low Carb Cardiologist Podcast as well as The Diet Doctor Podcast. He is currently the Medical Director at Diet Doctor, has an active blog and authored the book, 'Your Best Health Ever! The Cardiologist’s Surprisingly Simple Guide to What Really Works'.
