Dozens of people were evacuated after heavy rain triggered dangerous flooding in parts of the Grand Canyon over the weekend.

More than 60 people were airlifted from the area as floodwaters destroyed footbridges, carried debris into the Colorado River, and forced closures at popular tourist spots.

Two people have been found dead, and about a dozen more are unaccounted for, officials said.
