Original composition, I'm still living in temporary accommodation but I decided to set up my amp and a mic yesterday in the kitchen and sing and play a few of my older songs from years back, this is one called Down the misty roads of time

Walking these wet dark streets at night
With a million thoughts that won't stay quite
Nightowls who sit up and ponder too much
Minds that won't be easy darkness is a crutch

That plays inside your head when you lie awake in your bed

Lamp post prophets predict a dice that has been cast
Streetlight spirits casting shadows of the past
Tables turn against overwhelming odds
Laugh in the face of those who would be gods

Too many what if's perhaps and maybe's
The past tense is only for the has been's
Too many could haves and should have dones
If tomorrow never came then no lessons were learned
