When I saw that the Election Commissioner has told the City Council and the County Board to go fly a kite on sending notices to voters, really disappointed is an understatement. I have been a complete supporter of the Election Commissioner and I think he has done a terrific job. This one I think he has made a mistake. We still have a pandemic in operation, and we need to get those voter ID cards out to people to tell them, not ID cards, but tell them how they can get a ballot. I did ask our legal council wether or not he is administrative or executive. I don't think he has the authority to do this. Not that we're his boss so to speak, but a reasonable request by the two political bodies unanimously asking for voters to be able to vote by mail is not something I don't believe that he has the authority to turn down. So I'm going to pursue it further, hopefully its going to be timely, but I think he's overstepped his authority. We'll find out when we talk to attorney in executive session. Thank you.
