Unpack the archive, and you will find a Windows 3.1x mouse driver in the windrv/dosboxpi/bin/win31 directory.Copy the DBOXMPI.DRV and OEMSETUP.INF files for your Windows version to a place where the Windows SETUP.EXE program will be able to find it

Not like PCem or 86Box, DosBox-X is using a configuration file (*.conf) to store hardware info and settings. Please refer to above instruction link. windows 3.1 conf file is also available below between the lines, just copy and paste to a text file and rename the extension name to .conf. I named the file as "win31.conf" in this video.
