Lorna Griffiths is Chair of the Nottinghamshire Dormouse Group. There are three populations of dormice in Nottinghamshire, all of which were reintroduced as part of our species recovery programme. Since the final reintroduction in 2015, a fourth population has been recorded in an adjacent woodland and all four woodlands have dormice nest boxes installed, which are monitored by members of the Nottinghamshire Dormouse Group each month. Information from these monitoring checks is then used to inform dormice conservation in the UK.
