This is an AudioPCI re-recording done in high quality with emulation instead of a real VIBRA 128 card. Unfortunately, however, the emulation does have some timing issues that weren't present on the real card.

These two tracks demonstrate this card's unique sound. The DOOM II title has a cool synth "growl" effect at the end (Synth Strings 2), and the bass in Map 5 is dark and acidic (Synth Bass 2). Many GM synths and soundfonts do not play those instruments in that style (e.g., most GM banks typically have a "fat" sound for the Synth Bass 2 slot), with the exception of the original Roland SC-55 hardware.
