no commentary for this one, sorry. i honestly really like the idea of letting the gameplay in my hardest demos speak for itself. there wouldnt even be much to commentate anyways, 90% of the map is either platforming or sitting in a corner so oh well i suppose
this map is way, WAY harder than it looks btw. this is really the type of map you have to play for yourself to really understand
this grind started off really unfun with like a 2/10 enjoyment but actually started to really grow on me towards the end. kinetic said he was going for a kaizo doom feel for this map, and i think he absolutely fucking nailed it. every part of the map feels so aggressive and almost trollish. i cant help but respect when a mapper achieves what they were going for, especially when its done as well as this. also he picked quite literally the best possible music choice for this map. this is easily going in my list of "if this track were used in any other map from now on it would feel weird since its so heavily associated with this map" songs. locking in practice for the platforming and becoming a lot more consistent at that really boosted my enjoyment as well btw
i would say the only part i still genuinely just dont like is the cyber right before the blue key (which me and hebonky named him kyle, fuck you kyle) since hes just an rng check and if you have low health going into the plasma marine fight you are extremely likely to die
its a little sad that the maze is the way it is since while playing its super tense, but from an outsiders perspective its almost boring to watch. im sorry that it takes so long, especially at the very end of it since i didnt want to take any chances and just used safe strats. i do recommend watching through the maze since theres a few spicy moments but if you skip it i understand lol
i thought that i never maxed maps to experience pain, but kinetic said that to run this map you have to be a true masochist. perhaps i am one after all
