The 32X iteration of the famous game isn't perfect by any means but a lot more playable than the SNES version. At least that much. If there would be a reason to own this console I would say this game would be it out of all games that came out on that system.
Notable things on this version is the lack of strafing that is notorious with other versions including the original. However I found out that movement here is a whole lot smoother that I really did not missed said feature really.
Another thing about this version is that for some reason it will not display any items you collect nor the DOOM guy will grin with ferocious intent when picking up a new weapon. The only way to see if you had picked up items is by staring briefly at the menu screen which could cost you in the long run while confronting enemies.
One last thing is that it is highly suggested to play with a 6-button controller than the original 3 button version, that way you can access things like the game map and such a lot easier.
But yeah, not a bad port by any means.
