The Ancient Gods Part One | Part 3: The Holt
This is a meaty one so you better be ready.
Returning with the dark orb has caused everyone within the facility to evacuate. So now we're heading off to Urdak. With that life sphere, it will let us get in undetected. Now we enter The Holt. This also serves as the finale to The Ancient Gods Part One. Our job now is to head for the Luminarium and to resurrect the Dark Lord. That's the easy part. The hard part is trying to survive against everything this place has to offer. And it's going to be bloody brutal to boot.
We go through so many battles. So many fights against demons and anything that stand in our way. All the while, the Father tells us that we are here to restore order to the world. If only he knew. If only he had any idea what we're really trying to do. At the end, we confront The Seraphim. He's here to stop us by whatever means necessary. With weapon ready, we're taking Samuel Hayden, the Seraphim, right here and now.
The Seraphim is a multi-phase fight with each part being more annoying than the next. What makes it annoying is that every time you get hit by his attacks, you slow down. It's five phases with much of the other phases having you deal with spirit-boosted demons. You need to destroy them both in order to even deal damage to him. It's annoying. Trust me. Very annoying. Once you go through all the phases, the Seraphim is finally defeated. For good measure, we take the Seraphim down and with it, marks the end of Dr. Samuel Hayden.
We head to the next room. The father mentions that what we're doing can't be changed. In other words, irreversible. We then use the Dark Orb in the hopes of bringing the Dark Lord to a physical form. What follows is unreal. The Father explains that the dark lord is the leader of Hell's armies. Not a king, but a warrior. He was the fiercest among them, as only the strongest can rule the demons. He is us, in their world.
Thus concludes The Ancient Gods Part One. See you for when we begin Part 2 of The Ancient Gods.
