I found using the Destroyer Blade really good against the first phase. Timing is fairly strict but not really too punishing if you mess it up.
Second phase is just my newly discovered strat, Chaingun Shield Dash Stunlock, it's pretty hilarious. Just keep an eye on your shield durability and bail when appropriate or else you'll get hit for big melee damage. This strat is fairly safe with a bit of practice and hella strong.
As far as I know, the Chaingun Shield Dash Stunlock works on every enemy in the game (inc. Barons, the Gladiator and the Doom Hunter without his sled). Other than the Marauder, Tyrant and Blood Maykr. It'll damage them but not stun-lock them.
