Cherry burl is one of the most exciting finds a woodturner can get — but processing a large one safely and efficiently is a skill of its own. In this video I walk you through my complete process: assessing the burl, making safe roughing cuts with a chainsaw, and refining cuts on the bandsaw. Whether you're a beginner who just scored your first burl or an experienced turner looking to refine your workflow, there's something here for you.
