There are powerful trucks… and then there’s @Whip60’s 5,000-horsepower diesel monster.
This thing is on an entirely different level. Built by @Whip60 at King Performance Diesel, this insane race semi is what happens when you take diesel performance, throw out every reasonable limit, and build something for one purpose: ABSOLUTE POWER.
We’re talking roughly 5,000 horsepower, massive turbochargers, ridiculous boost, earth-shaking torque, and enough raw diesel power to make almost anything sitting beside it look slow. The sound alone tells you this isn’t an ordinary semi. When @Whip60 fires this beast up, you can feel it before it even moves.
And of course, I had to find out exactly how powerful it really was.
So what did we do? We hooked my Ford F-150 Platinum to @Whip60’s monster for a tug-of-war.
I knew I was probably in trouble, but I figured the F-150 might at least dig in and put up some kind of fight.
NOPE. 😂
The second @Whip60 got into the throttle, it was basically game over. The F-150 went from being a full-size pickup truck to feeling like a little toy attached to the back of this thing. The semi barely looked like it was trying while my truck was getting dragged along for the ride.
That’s when you really understand how ridiculous 5,000 horsepower in a diesel race truck actually is.
What makes this machine even crazier is that @Whip60 didn’t just buy some ridiculous race truck and start driving it. This thing represents countless hours of fabrication, engineering, tuning, testing, breaking parts, upgrading them, and figuring out how to make an enormous diesel engine produce power numbers that sound almost impossible.
Everything about this truck is extreme.
The turbos are extreme.
The torque is extreme.
The exhaust is extreme.
The noise is extreme.
And when @Whip60 puts his foot into it, the entire experience is something you simply cannot understand through a video. You need to stand beside this thing and feel the ground shake.
Diesel builds have always been about torque and pulling power, but @Whip60 took that philosophy and turned the dial until it broke off. This isn’t some mildly tuned highway tractor with a bigger turbo. This is a purpose-built diesel race machine capable of producing horsepower numbers that compete with some of the wildest motorsport vehicles on the planet.
The craziest part might be seeing something this enormous accelerate the way it does. Your brain expects a semi truck to be heavy and relatively slow. Then @Whip60 hits the throttle, the turbos start screaming, the smoke starts rolling, and suddenly this gigantic machine moves like something a fraction of its size.
It completely changes your definition of a FAST TRUCK.
Huge respect to @Whip60 for building one of the wildest diesel machines I’ve ever had the opportunity to experience. Anyone can throw parts at a vehicle, but building something at this level takes serious knowledge, patience, fabrication skills, and a willingness to keep pushing until you’ve created something completely ridiculous.
And that’s exactly what @Whip60 has done.
