Sometimes betrayal doesn't come from strangers.
Sometimes it comes from the people you've sacrificed for, supported, protected and stood beside for YEARS.
This video is different.
I'm not talking about an MPC.
I'm not talking about music-production gear.
I'm not debating an internet personality.
I'm talking about LIFE.
Something was said to me by someone who has been part of my life for a very long time, and it forced me to think about loyalty, sacrifice, relationships, family and how quickly years of what you've done for another person can seemingly become invisible.
It genuinely shocked me.
And sometimes those moments teach you something.
You can spend years helping people.
Supporting people.
Showing up for people.
Sacrificing for people.
Building with people.
But eventually you may have to ask:
WHO IS ACTUALLY THERE FOR ME?
This connects to something I've discussed throughout my philosophies and videos:
Protect your mental real estate.
That doesn't mean living with hatred.
It means understanding that another person's expectations, problems, opinions or perception of you cannot be allowed to completely control your identity or determine the direction of your life.
The same applies online.
A content creator isn't automatically your friend.
A music producer isn't automatically your mentor.
A celebrity isn't automatically your leader.
A subscriber count doesn't make somebody family.
And even the people physically closest to you can sometimes reveal something you never expected.
At some point, you have to learn how to stand on your own.
For me, this moment created another question:
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO FOR ME?
That's where this video ultimately goes.
Planning.
Strategizing.
Music.
My career.
My future.
My independence.
And figuring out how I want to move forward with my life.
I'm still making music.
I'm still creating.
I'm still building.
I'm still documenting.
Life continues.
Sometimes a painful moment doesn't end the story.
It changes the direction of the next chapter.
