The BA of Malaysia must begin preparing Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik for an Olympic assault at Los Angeles 2028, says badminton legend Datuk Razif Sidek.
Razif believes the former world champions’ proven chemistry gives them Malaysia’s best chance of challenging for major titles.
Aaron-Wooi Yik reunited at the recent World Championships in New Delhi and finished runners-up to China’s Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang.
The world No. 4 will reunite permanently during the European swing, beginning with the Denmark Open in October.
Razif said BAM should draw up a clear roadmap covering their tournament schedule, physical condition, weaknesses and areas for improvement.
He added that strong communication and mutual support between the players, coaches and management will be crucial during the Olympic qualification cycle.
